Allison Murphy Semenuk graduated from Berlin High in 2002 where she was a recipient of 12 varsity letters. In soccer Allison was a varsity starter her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She was a 3-time All-Northwest Conference selection, 4-time NWC All-Academic, captain and All-Herald team as a senior, and was a 2-time Recoat Award winner. As a freshman she was a member of the State Championship team. As a 4-year varsity starter in basketball she was a 3-time Northwest Conference selection and 4-time NWC All-Academic team.  She was captain of her senior year and received the Unsung Hero Award as a sophomore and the Coaches Award as a senior. Allison was a 4-year varsity member of the softball team. She was a 3-time All-Northwest Conference selection and 4-time All-Academic team member. She was captain her senior year, and received the Coaches Award, ands was a member of the All-Herald Team.

In academics while at Berlin, Allison was part of the University of Connecticut Cooperative Program which allowed her to earn 15 college credits her senior year allowing her to graduate college a full semester early. She also received the President’s Education Award for Educational Excellence as a senior and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Allison graduated from Springfield College in 2006 Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.8 with her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree and a Secondary study in Education. She then attended Teachers College at Columbia University where she received a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching graduating Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA.

Allison has been a high school math teacher at Windsor High School since 2007.  She was nominated for District Teacher of the Year in 2015-2016 and 2018-2019.  She was elected and served on the District Governance Council from 2013-2015. Allison has coached a variety of sports: Windsor Locks High School JV girls softball, Windsor High School JV soccer, freshman girls basketball, JV girls softball and girls varsity soccer.

Allison married her husband Doug Semenuk in 2012 and they had twins on December 29, 2014, a son named Landon and a daughter named Skylar. Allison and her family currently live in South Windsor.
