Jennifer Baccaro

Athlete

Jennifer Baccaro graduated from Berlin High School in 1991 and was a three sport athlete attaining All State status in all three sports. In soccer she received the Redcoat Award in 1988, was captain and CCSC All State in 1989, and in 1990 was All Northwest Conference, received the Coaches Award, and was CCCA All State. During her basketball career she was a varsity player in 1988, was All Northwest Conference and received the Coaches Award in 1989, All Northwest Conference in 1990, and in 1991 was team captain, All Northwest Conference, CHSCA/ Hartford Courant Class M All State, and received the Coaches Award. In softball Jennifer was All Northwest Conference in 1989. In 1990 she was All Northwest Conference, CHSCA/ Hartford Courant Class M All State and New Haven Register All State. In 1991 she was the team captain, All Northwest Conference, CHSCA/ Hartford Courant Class M All State and participated in the CHSCA senior all star game.

Jennifer was the only Berlin athlete to achieve all state status in three sports during her high school career.

Upon graduation Jen went to the University of Vermont where she played softball for four years and soccer for one year. After her graduation she coached JV soccer and freshmen basketball at Berlin High and was an assistant softball coach at Trinity College in Hartford before starting her teaching career as a 4th grade teacher in Lexington, Ma. While there she was the freshmen softball coach at Lexington High School for six years. She then moved to Mashpee, Ma. where she currently teaches 6th grade at Quashnet School.
