Nate Tarsi

Athlete

Nate Tarsi graduated from Berlin High in 2001 where he was a three sport athlete excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. In football he was a 4 time All-Academic team selection, in 1999-‘00 he set the record for most completions in a game, 2000-’01 he was NWC All Conference quarterback, New Haven Register All-State defensive back, setting the school record for career interceptions with 10, passing yards in a game with 291, and 1 point conversions with 28. He participated in the senior All-Star game against Rhode Island and was a CHSCA All-State quarterback selection.

In baseball Nate was a four time All-Academic team selection and two time All NWC selection. In his junior year he was the recipient of the C. Howard Goding, Junior Scholar Athlete Award. During his senior year he set the record with 3 home runs in a game. Nate was a senior All-Star game participant and received recognition as a CHSCA All-State selection and was the recipient of the CAS-CIAC Scholar Athlete Award. Nate was a two time All-Academic honoree in basketball.

After graduating from Berlin Nate went on to Cornell University where he played football for four years starting as a quarterback in his freshman year before switching to free safety in his sophomore year. He received the Cornell game ball on 11/06/04 in a 14-7 victory over Dartmouth. Nate graduated in 2005 with a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Civil Infrastructure. He is currently a construction engineer for Turner Construction Co. and lives in Orchard.
