Robert McCann

Robert McCann was a 1956 graduate of Berlin High School. He was a four-year letterman in football being selected as co-captain during the 1955-56 season. In his senior year, he was recognized as one of the best running backs in the state. He scored 27 touchdowns in his junior and senior years. In his senior year, the team went 6-0-1 and was the North Central Football League Champion and the Class C State Champion. Robert was an All-State football selection in his senior year and was recruited by Boston College, Boston University, and Trinity.

In addition to his four-year participation in football, he was also a four-year letterman in basketball and baseball. He was voted the most athletic in his senior year.

Robert was a co-founder of the Berlin Midget Football program in 1978. He is retired and a resident of Kensington and married to Judi. He enjoys his retirement playing golf and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
