Sean Garrison

Sean Garrison graduated from Berlin High in 1990 where he played varsity soccer and baseball all four years. In his four years playing varsity soccer he was co-captain during his senior year was selected as a member of the Northwest All-Conference Team.
Baseball was where Sean really excelled. He was a Northwest All-Conference Team selection in 1989-1990, CHSCA All-State selection in 1989-1990 as a pitcher and 1st baseman, 1990 New Haven Register State Player of the Year, 1990 ABCA All-District Player of the Year, and 1990 Gatorade Circle of Champions Connecticut Player of the Year. He was also the recipient of the BHS Outstanding Achievement Award and the 1989 Coaches Award for baseball.
Sean had a career pitching record of 21-1 with his only loss in the State Semifinals during his sophomore year. The BHS baseball team was a two-time State Champion in 1989 and 1990 during his time at Berlin. In the 1990 Senior All-Star game he hit a grand slam and had 5 RBI’s to lead the CT All-Stars in a 10-8 win over Massachusetts. Sean was considered by baseball scouts as one of the top three pitching prospects in the state. He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 1990 amateur baseball draft but chose to attend CCSU with both an Athletic Scholarship and the Arute full tuition Academic Scholarship. In 1992 he signed to play with the Harwich Mariner’s in the Cape Cod League.
Sean went on to own Wais Sales and Service in Wallingford for 20 years and currently works for Northeast Laboratories in Berlin while still residing in Berlin.
